Case evidence gathering & management in Questa

A client’s own IT systems, financial-accounting data, publicly available information, and counterparty electronic data gathered during discovery, can represent important sources of evidence to support clients and counsel during disputes.
While a simple scan of case files avoids carrying heavy binders with paper files, in many cases such electronic data does not allow evidence to be searched easily or efficiently with keyword/ text searching and categorizing/ tagging of relevant evidence. Consequently, finding specific evidence in extensive case files can be both ineffective, inaccurate, and time-consuming, when time is usually a scarce resource.

Independently from digitalisation of case files/ evidence, it is becoming more and more common during discovery in various jurisdictions that evidence is provided in electronic form, e.g. email correspondence, document files, accounting records, etc.
